Reconciling Personal Transactions in Landlord Vision

By 2 min read • June 18, 2021

You might sometimes use your business accounts for personal expenses or withdrawals, in which case you won’t want these payments to be included when putting together your property accounts. With this in mind, we’ve added a new feature to make bank reconciliation even easier.

New Options in Bank Reconciliation

We’ve recently added two new options to the Bank Reconciliation feature and you can find them in the More Options menu on the Reconcile page. These are:

  • Ignore
  • Delete

Both of these options help to speed up the reconciliation process, especially if you have items in your bank account that you don’t want to have in your accounts.

You can use Ignore if you have personal expenses or withdrawals that you don’t need to keep a record of, however you may still want to track your bank balance in the software to keep it matching with your actual one. The software will then write an entry to Account Manager > Journals and mark it as ‘Ignored’ and update your Account Balance.

The delete option removes the transaction altogether and does not update the Account Balance.  Deleted payments can be reimported later if you later discover you needed them after all.

We hope this helps to make your accounts clearer to understand and easier to manage.

If you want to suggest a new software feature to make Landlord Vision even better for your property business, head to Landlord Vision’s User Echo page. Here, you can leave new requests for software features or vote on existing ones that you would like to see.
